I can hear some of you chuckling to yourself at the back of the classroom and saying but sir, everyone on Tinder wants to have sex. True that might be, but now there’s a way you can let someone know you really fancy them before you roll out the cheesy pick-up lines.
It’s a feature called Super Like (so out the box), and people are calling it the app’s equivalent of eyeballing someone for just that moment too long. Initially rolled out in Australia last month, Tinder claims that conversations started with the feature lasted up to 70% longer. We can’t speak for the sex that followed but they’re off to a good start. Here’s TechCrunch with more:
…Super Like is a new feature on Tinder that lets you get far more explicit than a basic right swipe. Instead of indicating interest anonymously, through a right swipe, and then revealing identities only when there is mutual affection, Super Like lets you tell a certain potential suitor that you’re more-than-just-right-swipe interested.
When you Super Like someone and your profile is then surfaced in their feed, your profile will also have a little badge that shows that you Super Liked them, giving them a bit more of an incentive to check out what all the fuss is about.
Of course you can’t go handing those Super Likes out willy-nilly, with Tinder users getting one per day and Tinder Plus users getting five per day.
Picking and choosing time, which will come as a shock to all those who have been swiping yes to everything since day one.
