Ah, the joys of having three Rugby World Cup games on each Saturday. We’re not even going to mention the Currie Cup games, the Premier League and all that other live sport, this is rugga time and that means a couple of things.
It means beers, buddies and braais, although my motley crew likes to mix things up a bit. What better excuse to spend a few hours drinking with mates than the age-old potjie, a time-honoured tradition that combines a slow-cooking process with getting slowly cooked to result in a meal that is almost impossible to butcher?
Mind you potjie-butcherings have occurred in the past, mostly through lack of attention to detail or shoddy preparation. Now we wouldn’t want to fail on either front but lugging your potjie gear all over the show can be somewhat cumbersome. Meh, we say, have you ever met the PotjieKing Stainless Steel Portable Braai/Stove?
Let’s watch the video that pretty much sums up why we’re going to be making sure there’s one of these bad boys sitting ready for action:
Ain’t that just a nifty little gadget. The best bit is you can now grab your own PotjieKing for R799, delivery included, Heck, if you buy it today you can even knock off another 10% by using the code ‘GOODS09’.
You can read about all the specifics of this great deal HERE. We also recommend you find a lekker potjie recipe because this Saturday the Boks are going to feed on the Scots and you don’t want your mates going hungry.
