There are more than a few mornings when I wish a giant sinkhole would envelop my person and put me out of my misery, but then Donald Trump does something ridiculous and the day gets better.
Sinkholes have been in the news an awful amount of late (in the last two months alone we’ve covered them HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE), a fact that has sent the folks at Mashable in search of the world’s eeriest and most remarkable sites.
A sinkhole, by the way, is defined on the same site as ‘collapsed or bowl-shaped features that form when there is a void underground, creating a depression in the land where everything around the area drains’.
Without further ado let’s see what they have in store for us…
Lighthouse Reef, Belize
Tamaulipas, Mexico
Guatemala City
Bolivar State, Venezuela
Yucatan peninsula, Mexico
You can feast your eyes on the rest of those sinkholes HERE.
