Yet another account of an older female teacher seducing a high school student has made news headlines in the UK. In this case, a schoolboy was seduced by Caroline Berriman – who apparently left him ‘scarred for life’. According to Caroline, they had sex 50 times and she told the boy – who cannot be named – that he had made her pregnant.
The relationship got so serious over a two month period that Caroline’s 2 year old daughter started calling the schoolboy “dad” – he was only 15 at the time.
After admitting that the two had a sexual affair, Caroline wasn’t sent to jail, receiving 200 hours of community service instead as well as a suspension. The schoolboy deemed this atrocious as if her sex were male, she would probably go to jail.
Here are a few other instances of female teachers seducing schoolboys in the UK:
- In November, married TA Helen Turnbull, 35, received a suspended sentence after kissing a boy of 16 and sending him seductive messages. She then began a relationship with another former pupil from the same Roman Catholic school.
- In 2014, TA Charlotte Parker, 32, sent thousands of lewd messages to a pupil at a school in Chelmsford, Essex, aged just 14, with whom she later had an affair when he was 16.
- Married English teacher Yvonne Preston, 49, of West Yorkshire, was banned from the profession for becoming infatuated with a pupil and showering him with gifts.
