At around 2am on Sunday morning, a white Maserati sped around the corner of Orange Street, Cape Town and ramped the pavement onto the grounds of Michaelis – or UCT’s Hiddingh Campus. It crashed through the fence and landed on a wall and, well, was still there this morning.
The car’s windows were broken, its bonnet lifted off and costs around R2.2 million.
The owner of the car is yet to be identified and the passengers abandoned the car and ran away from the scene.
