Holy Shit – Krejcir Had A Gun In His Cell And Was About To Escape

It seems that more 'friends' Krecjir has, the more enemies he makes as well - and the latest raid in his cell has foiled plans of attempted escape.
Czech fugitive Radovan Krejcir appears in the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court on Friday, 24 January 2014. Krejcir and his four co-accused were appearing on charges of kidnapping, assault, and attempted murder. Krejcir appeared alongside Siboniso Miya, Sandton businessman Desai Luphondo, and two members of the Hawks, warrant officers Samuel Modise Maropeng and George Jeff Nthoroane.Four of the men were arrested in November. Miya was arrested in January. In June, they allegedly kidnapped and assaulted a man whose brother, known only as "Doctor", disappeared with a 25kg shipment of tik he had been recruited to help smuggle through OR Tambo International Airport. They are accused of keeping the man at Krejcir's Money Point business in Bedfordview, Johannesburg, for four days, and assaulting him. The matter was postponed to February 24.Picture: Werner Beukes/SAPA

Oooolala, things just seem to be getting worse for our Czech friend. After being convicted of attempted murder, kidnapping and dealing in drugs earlier this month, the scandalous business man’s cell was raided on Saturday. After receiving a tip off the Czech criminal fugitive must have felt a bit put out after it was suspected that Radovan Krecjir had plans to escape.

In a report released by The Department of Correctional Services (DCS), they confirmed that they had thwarted Krecjir’s plans of escape – which they assumed would take place before his next trial – and released a list of things they had found in the cell.

(They) thwarted apparent escape plans by inmates that include Radovan Krecjir at Zonderwater Correctional Centre, when it raided a number of cells… on 26 September 2015.

A list of items found in the cell

  • 9mm pistol
  • several rounds of ammunition
  • taser
  • pepper spray gun
  • a knife
  • 10 cellphones
  • a memory stick
  • correctional services officials uniform
  • cell phone chargers
  • screwdriver steel blades
  • a diary which contained the names of witnesses and investigators in his cases

In June, two more criminal reports were opened against him, starting investigations both internally and externally into the high-level of Krecjir’s extensive network of police contacts.

How’s the script for that sequel going?
