The Sinkhole has struck again, and this time in full force as it swallowed camper vans, tents and vehicles in Australia. We haven’t had an attack of this size in a while, but the hole was apparently the size of a football field and swallowed up the majority of a campsite in Queensland.
Massive.
The sinkhole formed at a popular campsite at Inskip Point in the state of Queensland shortly before midnight on Saturday and instantly swallowed a car, caravan and a truck. Yum.
The sinkhole was believed to be about 140m long and 100m wide and up to 10m deep. Thankfully, no one was hurt and everyone is accounted for. It’s school holidays down under and, being quite full, about 150 people were evacuated.
Sometimes camping can be so intents.
