Woolworths Protesters “Know Who Is Still Shopping At Woolworths” And “Know Where You Live”

Pharrell Williams performed in Cape Town last night and the expected 40 000-strong protest wasn't that at all, so instead we got some sarcastic comments.

Last night, Pharrell Williams got happy at Grand West in celebration of his collaboration with Woolworths in the tune of a clothing line. As we reported last week Tuesday, there was to be a protest outside the concert of about 40 000 people.

Alas, that didn’t happen.

Instead, only around a couple of hundred protesters rocked up to shout about their cause – and highlight their issues with both parties.

BDS South Africa is currently encouraging everyone to boycott Woolworths in an attempt to create awareness over their opinion that Isreal is creating an apartheid-like system over Palestine.

BDS campaigner Muhammad Desai slammed supporters of the retail chain in a questioning remark last night:

Those who have gone back to Woolworths: we know who you are and where you live. Come back home.

Hmmmm? I’m not sure if I appreciate that tone of reminder.
