We might have the Parktown prawn but when it comes to rats New Yorkers will tell you they rule the roost. It’s not that they’re the biggest, just that they tend to behave like those one-eyed crack pigeons you find in the Cape Town CBD.
Meet Pizza Rat, the now famous rodent whose pizza-shifting exploits have been viewed over a million times on YouTube. The video itself asks the question of whether this is just a simple rat or master Splinter bringing food for his mutant turtle friends, but you’d imagine Splinter wouldn’t be so easily spooked by a measly cameraman.
Our thoughts on the matter? If that pizza was a Rotherhams from Butler’s we think the rat might have stuck it out, although one slice wouldn’t really cut it for those hungry turtles in a half-shell.
