Aleppo has been divided by rival forces since 2012. The largest city in Syria, the government controls the east, while opposition forces control the west. It was once the cultural hub and economic centre of the country, but years of clashes between either side has left it in shambles.
The pair of videos show the opposition side of the city being attacked by airstrikes and many pedestrians and bystanders who were injured being carried away in stretchers. Scattered cars and burnings buildings line the background as hordes of activists, volunteers and uninjured bystanders haul lifeless bodies from the rubble.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based monitoring group, reported that 18 people were killed in the attack. However, other local sources put the estimate of those killed much higher. Al-Jazeera reported information from a source on the ground who told their reporters that 32 people were killed in the air strike.
