For reasons yet unknown, two topless women who are reportedly a part of the group Femen, stormed the stage of a Muslim conference in Paris. The two were topless and had the slogan ‘No one makes me submit’ written in black across their torsos and ‘Femen’ across their backs.
Yet to be identified, the women, aged 25 and 31, were dragged off stage and as they hit the floor, one was kicked somewhat aggressively by a male as a group was trying to take hold of the situation.
Femen is a feminist protest group that was founded in the Ukraine in 2008 and is now based in Paris. The group holds topless protests against sex tourism, religious institutions, sexism, homophobia and other social, national and international topics.
While the group makes a point of protesting against certain aspects of the treatment of humanity by various groups, their topless protests against a group of Muslims might not be the best way to get their point across.
