If you’re fans of the drug lord / crime syndicate style documentaries that have made VICE famous across the world then we have a real treat in store for you.
Some funny folks have been producing a series called Documentary Now, with what you see up top their third instalment. It is titled DRONEZ: The Hunt for El Chingon and it is jam-packed with gems poking fun at VICE and their style of reporting. Paste sums up VICE as follows:
[It] appeals to its core millennial audience by simultaneously aiming for the sensational and serious—with silliness mixed in for good measure.
As for the spoof above the show is introduced by none other than Helen Mirren, after which DRONEZ founder Jamison Friend (played by Jack Black) gets the segment rolling.
Sit back, enjoy and waste a good 20-odd minutes this Tuesday.
