I’m at the age now where I basically think most school age children are possessed – either by some kind of demon that renders them addicted to their mobile phones, or one that gives them boundless energy which is tiresome even to watch.
Well now there’s another reason to believe that children are evil, the game called ‘Charlie Charlie’ sweeping through schools in the Cape Flats area. Teachers are so worried that in some instances religious leaders have been called in to warn pupils against playing the game. IOL reports:
Prince George Primary’s principal says they decided to call in spiritual help after children “placed spells” on teachers.
A shocked Lameez Rabbaney says: “We had reports of children placing spells on teachers to die.”
Many schools across the Flats have already banned the game and have warned that anyone caught playing it game will be expelled.
For a brief summary of what the game entails read THIS, although I will grab an excerpt from our previous post:
The riveting game “involves summoning a supposed Mexican demon by placing two pencils in the form of a cross on a piece of paper and writing “Yes” and “No” in the alternating squares. Players then ask, “Charlie, Charlie, are you here?” The pencils should then move… (but that’s probably gravity.)
So wait, exorcists we say? It’s true, we wouldn’t make it up:
The school called in the help of well-known exorcists Moulana Nazeem Salie and pastor Karen Maarman.
The Moulana is the founder of the Spiritual Eye Healing Institute.
Nazeem told the frightened children: “The game you are playing is making deals with the devil and we do not belong to evil, we belong to God.”
Nazeem spoke about the importance of prayer to stay spiritually healthy.
“It is very important that we always pray and ask for protection from evil,” he said.
Crikey, I remember back in the day when the most evil game we played involved kicking a Coke can between someone’s legs and then beating them up, how times have changed.
