Two well-known and somewhat influential women have secretly been dating for around two months. The news came from a source who explained how the two are in a ‘bicoastal relationship’ staying extensively at each other’s pads.
Rosie O’Donnell and Tatum O’Neal – who both descend from Irish backgrounds – are in the midst of a summer romance and who knows, they might just get cosy for the up-coming winter.
Tatum’s interest in women was only revealed in the beginning of this year:
Now I’m clean and aware and alive and interested in the world. Dating women is exciting to me, and this is turning me on. I dated in the heterosexual world up until about four years ago, when I started thinking about dating women – just thinking about it. [I was in my] hair salon and saw a couple of pretty assistants. ‘I said: “I want to go on a date with her!”
Women are the most amazing creatures on earth. They’re gentle and also more intelligent than the men that I’ve met recently. I don’t have a steady right now, but I look forward to it.
Tatum has an extensive history with drugs, including heroin, getting locked into the drug after a turbulent divorce from tennis star John McEnroe in 1994.
Rosie, on the other hand, is more of a pro when it comes to being a lesbian, coming out to the world in 2002. She has been married twice since then, divorcing Michelle Rounds just last year November.
The two were spotted attending a Broadway Show and having dinner – although Rosie’s rep is frantically denying that they are romantically involved.
They’ve been friends for several years since they met in Chicago when Rosie did a show for OWN and Tatum did a docu-series for OWN.
