Some people really do have too much time and money on their hands.
Introducing the Swarm, a a giant drone powered by 54 propellers and controlled by what looks like a mad scientist complete with helmet and goggles.
Other accessories include a lawn chair, an umbrella to keep the rain out of his (crazy) eyes and a controller from Hobbyking. The description from the YouTube channel ‘gasturbine101‘:
The Swarm man carrying multi-rotor airborne flight testing montage. 54 counter-rotation propellers, six grouped control channels with Hobbyking stabilization. Take of weight 148kg, max lift, max approx. lift 164kg. Endurance 10 minutes.
One listen to the racket the machine makes and it’s clear where the name comes from, it sounds like a beehive has been ransacked and the winged rascals are out for revenge
