You know what has the biggest heart in the world? No it’s not Ryan Gosling, despite what some of the females in this office think. It’s actually a blue whale, that peaceful denizen of the deep.

A new TV show called “Big Blue Live” is shedding some light on the whale’s heart and, as you can see from that video above, they possess a pretty impressive ticker. The organ weighs in at around 400 pounds (180 kg) and was taken from a 23 metre whale, slightly below the average of around 25 metres. Huffington Post reports:

The find has verified that some of science’s best guesses about the blue whale haven’t been so exact.

“I was expecting something the size of a car, but found a heart more like the size of maybe a small golf cart or circus bumper car for two,” Jacqueline Miller, a mammalogy technician at the museum [said].

Not to take your minds for a run through the gutter but the blue whale also possesses the biggest penis in the world, with the average length around 2,5 metres.

The females in the office have claimed this just pips Mr. Gosling.
