‘Chris Brown Does Have A Heart’
PFFFFFFFFFT, sure.
But that’s the title of the first Punk’d video after the show’s three year hiatus. This time, however, the once popular show is back with a difference: the show is on BET (online portal for African-American news) so focuses on wreaking havoc in the lives of black celebrities. And their first target? The infamous Chris Brown.
The prank went like this:
As Chris Brown was filming a music video, a little girl wandered onto set. She praised a particularly hoarse Brown and revealed she had no caretakers in the immediate vicinity. Then she wandered off, and was seemingly pulled onto a random bus. Brown became frantic, and he was soon told he was punk’d. The show got its gag; Brown got the good PR of seeming to be concerned about the well-being of a stranger he easily could have brushed away because he was working and/or too famous to care.
I smell a rat. Celebrities are more in bed with networks and publicity stunts than ever and great PR is what it’s all about. Yeah, sure, it MAY have been genuine; maybe I’m just a Chris Brown hater. No wait, I definitely am.[source: morningafter]
