Here’s hoping everyone had a lovely Women’s Day yesterday, celebrated roundly by all who love the fairer sex and hate Mondays. With that in mind let’s take a look at the chequered history of Donald Trump hating on women, starting with the controversy from this past weekend.
If you were paying attention to the Trump circus you will be aware that he had some less than stellar things to say about a certain Megyn Kelly. The host of the Republican debate (see highlights of that debate HERE) put some difficult questions to Trump, as was her job as the debate moderator, although Donald thought there might be another reason at play. Let’s listen to him attributing her doing her job to suffering from ‘that time of the month’. Stellar Donald, really top stuff…
Of course this is just another attack in a long line of incredibly misogynistic comments that flow freely from the toupeed twat. Below are a list of highlights from Fortune:
In 2012, he tweeted that Arianna Huffington “is unattractive both inside and out. I fully understand why her former husband left her for a man—he made a good decision.”
On Celebrity Apprentice: All-Stars in 2013, he mused about the “pretty picture” of former Playboy Playmate Brande Roderick “dropping to your knees.”
He called opposing counsel in a deposition “disgusting” for wanting to break to pump milk for her 3-month-old daughter.
In his book, How to Get Rich, he wrote: “All of the women on The Apprentice flirted with me—consciously or unconsciously. That’s to be expected.”
In a 1991 Esquire interview, he said: “You know, it doesn’t really matter what [the media] write as long as you’ve got a young and beautiful piece of [expletive].”
Most famously, in a 2006 feud involving Miss USA, he called Rosie O’Donnell an “animal,” an “extremely unattractive person,” and a “slob.”
So after the uproar following his comments towards Kelly he spent most of Sunday apologising for his idiotic comments. No he didn’t, you know better than that, he simply stuck to his guns:
Trump also retweeted a comment calling her a “bimbo” (later deleted) and called her a “lightweight.”
Trump made the rounds of the Sunday talk shows to deny that his blood comment was a reference to the Fox host’s hormonal state. “There’s nothing to apologize [for],” Mr. Trump said Sunday on the NBC News program Meet the Press. “I was referring to nose, ears. They’re very common statements. And only a deviant would think of what people said.”
It’s almost like he forgets that even he, the high and mighty, had to once emerge from a woman’s lady bits when entering this world. As for that cover up about the bleeding from nose and ears – he might find the yes men running his campaign (and on his payroll) buying that but the rest of us have too much between the ears to gobble up that shite.
