Things have been a bit quiet on the El Chapo front lately. We know he’s on the run, but if his last jailbreak was anything to go by he’s basically ‘in the wind’ as far as the authorities are concerned.
Nonetheless, the battle to stem the flow of narcotics from Mexico to the US continues, and Mexican authorities have just discovered an unfinished tunnel, which starts in Tijuana and ends in the USA, as the BBC report with this video. (Click this image to play the video).
The tunnel has all the hallmarks of a Sinaloa Cartel masterpiece – it’s roomy, ventilated and had lighting. Authorities got to it just before it was completed, thanks to an anonymous tip-off.
You have to respect the chutzpah of whoever that guy or girl is, for risking making an enemy of one of the world’s most vicious cartels. Yeish.
