It accelerates in 6.1 seconds from zero to 100 km/h, achieving an average fuel consumption in the EU test cycle of 6.3 litres per 100 kilometres and a CO2 figure of 149 grams per kilometre.

John Cooper Works motor racing experience also went into the development of technology for the suspension, body and cockpit. A sports suspension including Brembo sports brake system, exclusive 17-inch John Cooper Works light alloy wheels, the John Cooper Works aerodynamics kit and particularly large air inlets as well as a model-specific interior in sports-car style are combined with the newly developed engine to create a perfectly harmonised overall package for extreme driving fun on the road.
