An American woman has been murdered in one of Cape Town’s most exclusive suburbs, Camps Bay. Reports initially emerged on OurHood, the private social network for neighbourhoods, but are now appearign in mainstream news.
According to news24:
A man has been arrested after the body of a 39-year-old woman was found at a Camps Bay hotel on Wednesday afternoon.
Details surrounding the incident remain sketchy, but it is understood the murdered woman was an American citizen on holiday in Cape Town.
The 41-year-old suspect is believed to be known to the woman and is also not a South African national.
Police spokesperson Constable Noloyiso Rwexana told News24 the incident was reported to police at around 15:00 and officers responded to the scene in Chilworth Road.
The hotel is in Chilworth Road, Camps Bay.
