Apparently being ‘on the run’ isn’t as stressful as it used to be, that or this dude is just seriously cocky.
American Jason Stange was convicted of armed robbery back in ’06, and decided to do a runner from his halfway house last year. (Why he wasn’t in prison is not clear). But Stange couldn’t control his inner thesp, despite there being a warrant out for his arrest, and decided the best course of action was to star in a movie.
Unfortunately for him, the police in Washington State were on the ball as they spotted him in some publicity shots, and arrested him almost immediately.
This from the BBC:
Brandon Roberts, the film’s producer, told the local News Tribune that Stange was a talented actor who was well-liked by the cast and crew.
He said the film was rewritten to suit Stange, who had “really nailed the audition”, adding that Stange will remain in the film, which is scheduled for release in 2016.
Is he a complete moron, or just a misunderstood artiste who put his art before his freedom?
