It would be unfair to call Khloe Kardashian the ugly duckling of the family but she certainly doesn’t get as much attention as Kim, Kylie, Kendall and Kourtney.
Of course being a Kardashian / Jenner brings with it an affinity for all things self-promoting, which is why she probably won’t mind the furore surrounding her cover shoot for Complex Magazine. Many have doubted the authenticity of the photos, believing the Photoshop wizards have gone to town and altered the image extensively.
We will start off with that cover and Khloe’s Instagram post on how happy she is with the result:
Of course she was well aware of the criticism being levelled at her and responded with this:
Make of that what you will but here’s what Mashable had to say:
Khloe’s skin was clearly smoothed; a polarizing filter was most likely used on the image, which would explain the color separations on her leg. But her body shape is basically the same…
Ironically, Khloe spoke about her body image issues in the magazine’s interview. “I don’t know if I’m ever gonna feel like, ‘Daaamn, you look good,'” she admitted. “But I’ve never felt as comfortable in my own skin than I do now.”
Khloe also opened up about plastic surgery, saying that she had always wanted a boob job but would never get one — because her father expressed his disapproval shortly before he died.
As is customary with the Kardashian clan her sister took to social media to talk about bravery.
The favour was then returned with Khloe thanking Kimye:
It appears this family is unaware of the ability to personally message one another without sharing it on social media but let’s cut them some slack, they’re just showing sisterly love.
