The Bill Cosby saga has been a pressure cooker teetering on the brink of explosion for a good while now. A seemingly never-ending flow of sexual assault and rape allegations, his own admission to procuring drugs to have sex with women, and as a result widespread disassociation from pretty much any brand or business he has been linked to. The only person who seems to support him is his wife, and even she has alluded to the fact she knew about his depraved proclivities. Yet the man continues to walk free.
Well, the New York Magazine has made its position on Cosby crystal clear. This week’s edition features all 35 of Cosby’s accusers on its cover, with an empty chair to represent all the unknown victims still out there.
As Business Insider reports:
The story itself features a combination of video, photos, individual testimonies and a narrative tying it together. The accounts are harrowing in their detail and similarity. Each woman was interviewed separately.
Cosby’s accusers paint a picture of Cosby as an unrepentant, manipulative sexual predator.
So, pretty damning if your name’s Bill Cosby, and I’d say unanimously inspiring for the rest of us, particularly anyone who’s ever suffered sexual abuse and been too afraid to speak out.
