It’s a tough life hosting one of TV’s most sought after gigs and fraternising with the cream of the world’s entertainment crop.
Somehow Jimmy Fallon manages to soldier on and, in a Madison Square Gardens spectacular from last week, he was fortunate enough to hop on stage with a couple of musical legends. Not that everything went perfectly smoothly to begin with as the Huffington Post reports:
“The Tonight Show” host says that, despite it being U2’s idea, Bono almost forgot to pull Fallon out of the crowd, grabbing another fan out of the audience instead.
Fallon was left holding a sign Bono was supposed to pick out, and got yelled at by fans to take it down. The comedian actually thought he might get kicked out before The Edge eventually reminded Bono about the bit.
Fallon eventually got stuck into the band’s iconic track ‘Desire’ with some help from his friends. Thankfully The Edge managed to avoid falling off stage and everyone left unharmed.
