I’m sure I’m not alone when I say that my social life takes a seasonal nosedive around the July mark. When the wind’s a-howling and the cold is in my bones, braving Long Street is really the last thing on my mind.
That said, offer me booze, food and music in a cosy setting, and I can probably be lured out of my onesie.
HQ are doing just that with their series of Fine Wining Evenings, in which they join forces with top local wineries to offer a night of incredible food and wine pairings. We’re particularly excited about the next event, which takes place on Wednesday 29th July, as the wine partner is one of Franschhoek’s finest, Haute Cabriere.
The night will consist of a four course meal, live music from Ricky Botsis and a hand-picked selection of wines from Haute Cabriere vineyard. Best of all, it’s only going to set you back R300.
Here’s the menu on offer (caution: excessive salivating may occur)
