If you’re in need of a new adventure (Table Mountain just doesn’t cut the mustard any more) then a night at Natura Vive could be right up your alley. If you suffer from vertigo and/or claustrophobia, then spending a night dangling off the side of a mountain in one of these bad boys probably won’t be.
The brainchild of a mountain climbing guide, (quelle surprise) the Skylodge consists of three pods that jut out from the side of an Andean mountain.
Reasonable views.
Visitors have two transport options to get to the pods: They can take a 1,000 feet zip line. (Rad)
Or, if that’s not enough adventure they can schlep their way up 1,400 iron rungs.
Each ‘suite’ has four beds, six windows, a bathroom and a dining area, and will set you back a not unreasonable $300 a night.
It does look a bit like you’d be sleeping in a giant fishbowl, but I’m sure it’s worth it if you like that sort of thing.
