In the middle of what was a truly humbling defeat for the English cricket team, there was one brief respite from the battering dished out by the Ozzies.
During Australia’s second innings, with David Warner and Chris Rogers adding to their team’s massive first innings lead, a lady appeared on the big screen and the crowd roared their approval. Flustered by all the attention the lass decided to take her seat but forgot one vital task – flipping the chair down.
This is one video clip you are going to want to watch to the end – after a series of embarrassing slow motion replays she takes it in her stride and manages to offer a curtsy to the crowd.
For those who don’t follow cricket that closely we should remember that the bowler at the time, Joe Root, was once punched in the face by Australia’s batsman David Warner. Perhaps this young lady has planted the seed in repairing one frosty relationship.
