If you haven’t heard of the Blue Waters Beach in Strandfontein let this be your warning, this stretch of beach is developing a reputation and it’s not the good kind.
Monday morning saw another murder after a man was shot dead metres from his car, which had become lodged in the sand. The motive for the killing of the 26-year-old remains a mystery. Below from News24:
Mitchell’s Plain Cluster Community Police Forum chairperson, Hanif Loonat…pointed out that this particular stretch of the False Bay coast was notorious for being a dumping ground for murderers.
“Countless bodies have been found buried or tossed in the vicinity over the years,” he said.
“This is happening too often. Police need to improve their visibility in this vicinity.”
Loonat added that he will be meeting with the Strandfontein police station management in order to formulate a plan to counter the spate of bodies found in the area.
