A ballsy Sky News reporter gets a tour of a Mexican meth ‘superlab’, run by one of the country’s most dangerous cartels. Sky spent eight months negotiating with the cartel leaders before they were allowed inside, and the results are pretty mind-blowing.
If you’re expecting to see a crappy RV Breaking Bad style, think again. These guys know what they’re doing, and their operation is a slick, seriously organised one. As Sky reports:
This huge, highly-organised business is not actually about making drugs, it is quite simply about making money.
The cartel members make it very clear they don’t give a crap about the life-ruining effects of what they’re producing, even admitting they sometimes send free meth ‘samples’ along with their cocaine and marijuana shipments, so people will try it and get hooked – which they obviously do.
A sinister take on the supply and demand business logic, it’s unlikely trade will slow down any time soon – particularly given the fact they basically own the Mexican police. Scary stuff.
