We know Dave Grohl is a cool cat, part of the reason he has become one of the world’s most loved musicians, but somehow he still manages to surprise with his awesomeness.
Last month the Foo Fighters frontman fell off a stage in Sweden and suffered a broken leg, still returning to finish the show with a cast on because he’s Dave Grohl and he wouldn’t dream of shortchanging his loyal fans.
This past Saturday, the rather special fourth of July, saw the Foo Fighters play the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium in Washington D.C. Grohl’s leg is far from healed but that didn’t stop the rock’n’rolla from tearing up on stage. Below from Mashable:
Grohl sang and shredded, while wearing a purple cast. Throughout the concert, he sat on a throne emblazoned with the Foo Fighters logo, which looked suspiciously like the Iron Throne, thanks to a dozen guitars poking out from its sides.
Respect Dave, it’s nice to see someone at the top who values his fans like you do.
