These Schoolboy Rugby Sidesteps Are Awesome [Video]

There are few things better in this world than being at a rugby stadium (Newlands, preferably) watching two brutish men in a heavyweight clash of the titans. The crowd roars its approval, standing from their seats and baying for blood in a throwback to the days of the Coliseum.

Spare a thought for the little guys then, the Gio Aplons and Cheslin Kolbes of the world who rely more on a twinkle of a toe than the ability to steamroll with sheer strength. Their skill does not go unnoticed and what you see above, courtesy of Menstuff, is a compilation of Aussie schoolboy (and the odd club level) steps that will make you appreciate some of rugby’s more subtle arts.

Well played lads, although if I am honest I will take a Bismarck bone-cruncher any day of the week.
