The Internet Is Losing Its Mind Over Obama Singing ‘Amazing Grace’ [Video]

During a moving tribute to the victims of the Charleston church shooting U.S. President Barack Obama loosened his vocal chords and sung the iconic 'Amazing Grace'.

B-Rack, The Obamanator, el Presidente, call him what you will – the most powerful man in the world has some pipes and he is not afraid to use them.

One of the victims of the tragic Charleston Church shooting was South Carolina State Senator and reverend Clementa Pinckney, someone that Obama knew personally. During a moving funeral the U.S. president decided to bust out the famous ‘Amazing Grace’, delivering a heartfelt rendition from behind the podium.

The internet was quick to heap praise on the big man, with this below from The Atlantic:

Obama’s eulogy is an indication of the confidence he seems to feel midway through his second term. This speech, through responding to tragedy, may be remembered as one of the most triumphant of his presidency. Singing certainly has something to do with that, but so does silence.

Of course this isn’t the first public display of his affinity for singing. See below his efforts on the Al Green song ‘Let’s Stay Together’.

Then take a gander at Barack busting out ‘Sweet Home Chicago’…

Rumour has it George Bush sings a mean Humpty Dumpty, which ironically is also the same level he reads at.
