For every person that loves and adores the 50 Shades series there is one who revels in taking the mickey out of E.L. James’ literary creations. The latest instalment, Grey: Fifty Shades of Grey As Told by Christian, has not escaped the internet’s fury and has been under the pump since the day of its release.

We must then question the wisdom of James when she agreed to participate in a Twitter Q&A on Monday evening, giving everyone the chance to relentlessly mock the ‘novel’. The results were predictable, with many pointing out what they deem to be a rather glaring lack of talent and a not-so-subtle undercurrent of misogyny.

Who had the last laugh? I guess James could point to the fact that her latest effort sold over a million copies in the first four days of its release, then add that she is worth in the region of $60 to $80 million, depending on who you ask.
