If you’re a little behind the times you might be wondering why so many of your friends on Facebook have a rainbow-coloured hue to their profile pictures. That would be because America’s Supreme Court came to a rather important decision this past week – that the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution guarantees gays and lesbians the same right to marry as heterosexuals.
If you’re really behind the times you’ll take the ruling as an opportunity to mock President Barack Obama – something that Robert Mugabe couldn’t resist doing during a Zimbabwean radio interview. Here’s what the old fool had to say courtesy of the Daily Mail:
“I’ve just concluded – since President Obama endorses the same-sex marriage, advocates homosexual people and enjoys an attractive countenance – thus if it becomes necessary, I shall travel to Washington, DC, get down on my knee and ask his hand.”
Striking a more serious tone, he added: ‘I can’t understand how this people dare to defy Christ’s explicit orders as our Lord prohibited mankind from sodomy’, going on to accuse the U.S. government of being run by ‘perverted Satan-worshipers who insult the great American nation.
Wow, where to even begin. I would like to think the large majority of our readers are on the same page here, so I’ll save you having to read about Mugabe’s horrendous history of human rights violations. Suffice to say those Satan-worshipping sodomite Yanks best not get too worked up about this blathering idiot’s opinion, he hasn’t made sense since Eddie Murphy last starred in a half-decent movie.
Back to your hole Bob, leave talking about serious matters to the adults.
