There’s a ding, there’s a fender bender and there’s a an accident of staggering proportions.
Yesterday saw a massive pile-up on the N12/ N4 split near Emalahleni in Mpumalanga, most likely caused by heavy mist in the area which decreased driver visibility. This from News24:
The carnage took place not far from the Middelburg tollgate.
“There have been two fatalities so far and multiple injuries from mulitple scenes,” ER24 spokesperson Russell Meiring told News24 Live.
“The pile-up involved over 60 vehicles, ranging from trucks, taxis to light motor vehicles. We are currently treating 15 patients.”
Hopefully those treated by medics have made a full recovery. Drive carefully out there folks.
