When you’re the Queen you don’t exactly rough it travel-wise, something her latest visit to Germany illustrated very clearly.
Elizabeth and hubby Prince Philip, now tipping the scales at 94 years old, arrived in Berlin yesterday and were greeted in fine style. Two Eurofighter Typhoon jets flew alongside her ride, then performed overhead as she made her way down the waiting red carpet. Lets start with the jet she flew in on then, described here on the Daily Mail:
The private jet used by the Queen boasts ‘incredible comfort and the largest cabin in its class’ according to a website for Brazilian aerospace firm Embraer, which also states the plane has ‘three distinct cabin zones for eating, sleeping and working’.
During her visit the Queen buy effexor will attend a former Nazi concentration camp for the first time, the same camp that held Anne Frank in her final days. My favourite excerpt below:
Elizabeth and Philip are planning a strenuous schedule.
Elizabeth will meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin on Wednesday after a boat trip along the River Spree. They will also meet with President Joachim Gauck.
Thursday will be spent in the financial hub of Frankfurt, with time blocked out for the queen to meet the public in the city’s central square.
Sounds super strenuous guys, be sure to rest along the way. Below you can see the Mighty Ducks style Flying V of motorcyles that guarded their drive into the city.
