A brief little recap here for those who didn’t catch much news from the weekend – don’t be shy, it’s your down time and we understand.
Six families totalling 29 people were held up during a braai at a house in Linden, Jozi on Saturday. They were robbed of cellphones, laptops and jewellery whilst having guns held to their heads and being forced to lie on the ground. You can read all those gruesome details HERE.
Well now the CCTV footage has emerged from the incident although it is grainy at best and will probably not lead to many arrests. Here’s EWN:
The owner of the Linden home [said] the three suspects were spotted in the neighbourhood just hours before they attacked his house.
Hans Somsen says he doesn’t believe it was a targeted attack.
“They were opportunistic and I don’t think I was targeted.”
By the way 17 of the 29 terrified braai-goers were children, with Hans saying that his three children were so traumatised they will now be going for counselling.
