Just yesterday a hiker noticed a body of a man lying on Table Mountain. A search team used a helicopter and recovered the body.
A Search & Rescue representative has confirmed the body is not that of Taro Spies, who dominated headlines a few weeks ago.
This, from EWN:
The search team were assisted by a helicopter to recover the body of a man who is thought to have jumped to his death.
Wilderness Search and Rescue’s Johann Marais confirmed the body is not that of missing hiker 25-year-old Taro Spies, who was last seen more than a month ago.
“We’ve no idea of the identity. We don’t know whether they will find an ID on the person now that they are starting to handle the body.”

Our thoughts and prayers go out to this man’s family, as well as the Spies family, who are still looking for answers.
