If your first thought when reading the above headline was ‘who the hell are 5 Seconds of Summer’ then congrats, you have passed the first test.
Now the Ozzie pop rock band (don’t call them a boy band, apparently they play their own instruments and write their own songs) were performing in London over the weekend and had whipped the crowd into a frenzy during the set. Guitarist Michael Clifford may too have become carried away as he wandered to the front of the stage, a decision he would immediately regret. Huffington Post reports:
Clifford’s head caught on fire after he walked into one of the onstage pyrotechnics. He quickly ran away to put it out, but the show was cut short….
“Michael has hurt himself so we will not be continuing the show right now. He is okay,” drummer Ashton Irwin said.
Clifford later tweeted out a picture showing that it was more than just a light singeing.
Perhaps he could pass on some stage movement tips to other, similar bands who don’t write their own music or play an instrument. No names, I’m sure you can figure it out.
