We certainly take it for granted here at home that it’s only ever a few hours drive and we can enjoy actual, live wild animals in the great outdoors. The folks of China aren’t quite as lucky, of course, and they have had to get a little more creative when it comes to introducing their kin to nature.
The Landmark Entertainment Group are designing something called the L.I.V.E. Centre (Landmark Interactive Virtual Experience), an innovation that will include up to four hours of virtual reality content for visitors. The experience will feature a virtual zoo and a virtual aquarium, with a side dose of an interactive museum and a digital art gallery. Here’s Mashable with more good news:
“PETA saw an early presentation of the virtual zoo and they loved it,” Tony Christopher, CEO and founder of Landmark, toldMashable. Describing his own, less than favorable (sic) experiences with his family at the zoo, he says, “I believe that it isn’t politically correct to have animals in a zoo.”
…the project will cost around $200 million to complete and has the support of a group of private investors supported by the Chinese government.
For those of us who won’t make it to China and prefer our animals less virtual why not enjoy a weekend getaway right here at home and stand the chance to win back the entire cost? You can click HERE for more info on SafariNow’s fantastic giveaways.
