The term ‘firepool’ might be rather uncommon outside of our borders but here at home it has become part of our everyday vocabulary thanks to the debacle that is Nkandla.
Zuma laughed about it, people wrote poems about it but, ultimately, it was JZ who walked away victorious. Part of the defence put forward by Police Minister Nkosinathi Nhleko centred on the many practical uses of the firepool, with journalists present subjected to a ridiculous video demonstration. You can see some of those highlights below.
It was only a matter of time until someone made a YouTube parody of the firepool and that time has come. You’ll find it up top for your enjoyment.
