Caitlyn Jenner, when she was still Bruce, made it explicitly clear that once revealed, the pronouns would be ‘her’ and ‘she’. Amazingly, everyone has been rather tactful and lovely and kind about Jenner’s massive revealing yesterday, calling her brave and admirable.

But then Fox Business stepped in and ruined it for the humans. Whilst not the same channel as Fox News, the two are regarded as “sister networks” and often swap news anchors. In what can only be described as a crass Ron Burgandy moment, anchor Neil Cavuto yelled “What the hell is going on?” when he saw the Vanity Fair cover.

Reporter Dagen McDowell then went on to use only male pronouns.

In 60 seconds these two managed to unravel all the goodness that had been said about Caitlyn. Well, maybe not all the goodness. McDowell, thankfully, has a ridiculous accent so she hardly counts.

McDowell also goes on to compare Jenner’s dress to that of a Playboy Bunny.

Well done guys. Certainly not your finest hour.
