Last night was David Letterman’s last night on the Late Show – it’s almost like when Friends ended, the end of an era. Letterman has been a TV-show host for 33 years, and last night’s audience showed just how much he is adored by his fans.
Delaying his entrance by 15 seconds, you can see him dart across the stage as a silhouette and then make his return, all the while his band playing and the audience giving him a standing ovation.
What a great guy.
He then went on to host the show and do one last Top 10 List which included celebs and a good laugh at Letterman’s expense (you can watch that HERE).
Tuesday’s penultimate episode saw Bill Murray, one of the first people ever to appear on the show with David, pop out of a cake, as only Bill Murray could do.
Late night TV is not going to be the same without you, Dave.
