2oceansvibe Radio’s Aimee Eveleigh of ‘the Abstract Aimee Show’ is well-versed in all things health-related. Here is her take on what the medical profession is getting up to these days.
The weight-loss industry: It’s become a trillion-dollar business worldwide. It offers a platform for otherwise ignorant people to start seriously questioning their lifestyle choices. But what has become increasingly apparent to me is this: The vast array of supplements, new fad-diet trends, nutritional shakes, pills, cosmetic surgeries and books that are available on the market today do very little in practice to actually fight the weight-gain pandemic.
I am a firm believer in a single, very simple and highly effective weight-loss and maintenance programme which actually works. This is a ritual that I partake in on a daily basis. It’s so simple: I exercise frequently, and I only eat when I’m hungry. When I’m hungry, I follow these steps:
So, I summed up the entire weight-loss industry’s trillion-dollar effort at helping you lose weight at the expense of your bank balance in, wait for it, six points.
The weight-loss and health industry also extends to medical technology that claims to assist in helping people to instantaneously lose unwanted fat. Now, this is where things get really interesting, folks. Not only does the industry deviate into the realm of “Doctors In White Coats”, but there are now procedures that one can go for which will make that fat disappear in an instant!
Based on what I have said in the above paragraphs, I’ll bet that many of you reading this are under the assumption that I’m about to pull these doctors and their ethics apart in writing and hang them out to dry! Well, I’m sorry to disappoint you, but this is the one area of medical science that I am VERY impressed with – but only if you as an individual are following my above-mentioned steps to health, weight-loss and longevity. My support of medically-assisted weight-loss and weight-maintenance was incited by my personal experience at Skin, Body & Health Renewal.
My initial thought pattern was, “How on earth can low-level laser lights do anything more for the resistant fat pockets in my upper thighs than squats and lunges at the gym already do for my body?” Alas, I am now happy to admit that I was wrong and that I-lipo was indeed a success.
So what do the Doctors at Skin, Body & Health Renewal actually do to help patients lose weight and ensure that it stays off? Well, surprise, surprise – when over-weight patients knock on the door seeking instant weight-loss miracle cures such as I-Lipo, the Skin, Body & Health Renewal doctor is going to tell you to pretty much follow Aimee Eveleigh’s plan for health and weight maintenance that I described to you in the initial paragraphs of this article. They will offer to hold your hand and support you as you engage in a months-long journey to health in the form of things like daily advice and nutritional information. But will they take your money and tell you that 8 laser light sessions will obliterate that roll of fat that resembles a spare car tyre around your middle? Nope. They’ll calmly and consistently keep repeating that same mantra of a pure diet and exercise as your answer to being gorgeous – and then, when you are close enough to your goal they will honestly assess you and welcome the introduction of medically assisted weight-loss treatments to finally nip that last little pocket of fat off your butt – forever.
To sum it up simply, it is mostly ethical due to the patient being first given skills needed to change, then given the drug to refine their body – then leave Skin, Body & Health Renewal with the knowledge to keep the weight off , forever, and hopefully never have to come back for a fat reduction treatment again. They are there to educate people and give them the power to change their lives and equip them with the knowledge to lead a healthy and abundant life.
I-Lipo Ultra works in the following way:
The I-Lipo is a low level laser (LLLT) system, also often referred to as a cold laser. This low dose of light targets the adipose (fat) cells in the treatment area, creating a cascade of chemical reactions inside the cells that open transitory pores in the cell membrane and convert the contained triglycerides into free fatty acids and glycerol. These molecules can then easily pass through the pores in the cell wall to be taken up and transported by the body’s lymphatic system for metabolism into energy during the subsequent recommended post treatment exercise.
My personal I-Lipo results were, as mentioned, a huge success:
Treatment 1: landmark: 72cm Pre: 54cm Post: 51cm
(24-02-15) 69cm Pre: 52cm Post: 50cm
66cm Pre: 50.5cm Post: 48cm
Treatment 8: landmark: 72cm Pre: 50cm Post: 49cm
(14-04-15) 69cm Pre: 48cm Post: 46cm
66cm Pre: 47.5cm Post: 46cm
So as you can see, combining I-Lipo with my existing plan and knowledge of nutrition and daily exercise has by all means helped me to get rid of those last remaining little pockets of fat that those squats at the gym could just never shift!
