I’m going to be quite frank here: I am not a fan of this activity. At all. I’m not a bunny-loving tree-hugger, but I see no point in taunting poor animals for people’s enjoyment and a bit of cash. So I don’t feel at all sorry for the guys waving the red flag when they get injured.
For example, here we have matador Torero Jiménez Fortes at the Feria de San Isidro bullfighting festival in Madrid. Yesterday saw him get gorged in the jugular and he is now in a “serious condition”.
As I said, my sympathy is at an all time low. Given that fact that this man enjoys taunting animals in front of large crowds, it may be the biggest horn he has ever had between his legs.
Seems Fortes is quite accident prone. Last year he was gorged at the same festival, which resulted in last year’s remaining events being cancelled for the first time in 35 years.
