In what should come as a surprise to absolutely no one the DA’s planned ‘Twitter Town Hall’ with Mmusi Maimane led to a slew of tongue-in-cheek questions and jibes directed at the new leader of the DA.
The DA announced their intention for Maimane to respond to Twitter question between 12:30 and 1:30 this afternoon, which led to some pretty predictable results.
Now many knew beforehand that the Q&A session would end rather farcically, with some issuing their own warnings.

Some Twitter uses did take time out to offer their support for what Maimane was doing.
The leader seemed to take the questions in good humour, although he couldn’t resist having a little snipe at the ANC.
I suppose this should be a lesson for all of us that Twitter is not to be trusted. Much like the comments sections of popular news sites across the country, the people have spoken – mostly shite.
