This is one time I will tell you to stop everything and just watch this video. It might be the music or my utter soft spot for Dubai, but I have certainly just added something to my bucket list, and it has overtaken quite a few things.
Meet Swiss ex-fighter pilot Yves Rossy and his protege, parachuter Vince Reffet. They have jet-propelled wings, essentially making them birds/flying humans. They’ve been doing this for ages and have now mastered it, enabling them to fly in a sort of duet, entwining around one another as they fly.
Watch as they start over the Dubai desert and end over the city – it’s truly quite breathtaking.
Rumour has it our very own Seth Rotherham will be the first South African to have one of these and will use it to fly in and out of the office.
