Show me a sport and I will watch it, unless that sport is NHL and I have no idea where the puck is. In such circumstances I will devise a drinking game based off the commentary alone, there will be shots and everyone leaves happy.
Table-tennis might be fun to play but I can’t imagine sitting down and watching a match. If every point was like this one, however, it might be a different story. The Qoros 2015 World Table Tennis Championship final saw world number one Ma Long battling fellow Chinese player Fang Bo, and the fifth game of the match had a rather memorable point. Here’s Bleacher Report:
Forehand, backhand, cross-table—any way you liked it.
For 15 seconds, Long and Bo traded volleys no one anywhere has any business touching, much less returning accurately. The International Table Tennis Federation uploaded footage of the exchange…calling it the “Table Tennis Point of the Century.”
Well played gents, now throw a few cups on the table, pour in some beer and let’s make this really interesting.
