No. No they have not. We’re absolutely fine with what they’re doing with their new Rolls-Royce Phantom Limelight Collection. But first, the story behind the name…
The limelight name is inspired by the actual limelight effect discovered by Sir Goldsworthy Gurney in the 1820s. His lighting concept was an invention that revolutionised illumination in the theatres of London’s Covent Garden, providing spotlight on the leading actors.
And this reasoning from Rolls Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös:
In creating the Rolls-Royce Phantom Limelight Collection, our designers have delivered authentic luxury by thinking deeply about the lifestyles of the powerful people who operate in the public eye and move swiftly from engagement to engagement as part of their daily life.
Want to have a look?
Not too shabby, huh?
Oh! you want to have a peek inside? With pleasure…
I know. How great is that little area where you can rest your watches and cufflinks? They’re truly so thoughtful over at Rolls.
Also, because you’re a ridiculously busy human, you get a leg rest.
I’ve placed my order. Best you get on it.
